Placer and El Dorado counties are home to beautiful mountains, rivers, and reservoirs that are ideal for outdoor activities in or near the Middle Fork. Placer County Water Agency operates the Middle Fork American River recreation facilities as part of its 40-year license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to operate the Middle Fork American River Project (MFP).

Placer County Water Agency developed this website to house all Middle Fork American River recreation information in one place. We work closely with the state and federal government as part of our management of the facilities.
